Same thing happened to me. My parents got me a Victorian gingerbread dollhouse kit. They opened the box and saw all the little pieces in there and I guess were defeated and never built it. It sat in the closet for years.
i always wanted a victorian style doll house when i was little. my dad bought a kit and was going to make it for my birthday (when i was turning four, i think…) but he either forgot or decided it was too difficult.
i found it in the basement before we moved. they ended up selling it at the yard sale before we left.
never. forgiven.
